Places to see
Hallands Väderö
A little treasure, located fifteen minutes by boat from Båstad Harbor. This island offers fantastic swimming and nature experiences. Hiking around the island takes a couple of hours and is well invested time. Catch the day and take a dip in the crystal clear water, either from the rough cliffs or the soft beaches. Don´t forget to have a look in the small museum or have an ice cream in the café/small shop – open during the high season..
Tennismuseum
A Museum that all tennis fans enjoy visiting. There are photographs, tennis outfits from bygone times and tennis artifacts. Located at Maria square only few hundred meters from Båstad Harbor.
Norrviken Gardens
An noble facility located on Hallandsås north slope just west of Båstad Hamn. Norrviken consists of seven different style gardens. You either explore the gardens by yourself or with a guide. Last but not least, sit down, relax and enjoy the lovely dishes in the beautiful restaurant.
Birgit Nilsson Museum
Experience the farm where Birgit Nilsson played as a child and where she dreamed of a life in the world of singing and opera. For 23 years, Birgit Nilsson lived with her parents on the farm. It was a life far from what she would later experience as one of the world’s most famous opera singers.
Märta Måås-Fjetterström
Just a short stroll from Båstad Harbor is a weaving studio almost a hundred years old. Here, unique hand-woven rugs are produced in modern and historical designs. Märta Måås-Fjetterström’s wonderful textiles have made her famous far outside Sweden’s borders.
Hotel Skansen
At the far end of the winter garden, Skansen’s spa world opens. Here you will find treatment rooms and steam sauna as well as a cozy and comfortable relaxation area with beautiful clover-shaped pool and windows facing the beach. 60 meters out in the sea the open-air bath has it´s own stunning place where you can enjoy the panoramic view over the ocean.Sports and health
Hiking
From Båstad Harbor you can easily walk along the coast or experience the magical forests on Hallandsåsen. With its varied landscape and expansive views, the Bjäre Peninsula is a paradise for hikers.
Track running
If you love running, Bjärehalvön is equal to paradise. You will find terrain as well as country roads that offers good training opportunities with many challenges. Jog peacefully along the beach or get your heartrate up close to maximum in cross-slope uphill. During the year several popular exercise races are organized. The most challenging race is the Rasta Båstad Marathon. If you want an exercise race for the whole family, then the Riviera Race, with windsurfing, SUP, kayaking and swimrun is recommended.
Bicykling
Bjärehalvön is the best cycling destination in the Nordic region with unbeatable views, challenging slopes and country roads along the sea.
Massage
Massages are available in the harbor during the summer. Along the path facing the morning jetty you will find Jipata’s popular massage parlors.
Golf
Bjärehalvön is a mecca for golfers. 10 minutes from Båstad Harbour you can choose between golf courses that are embedded with beautiful apple trees or courses that overlook the bay of Laholm and the wonderful landscape at the top of the ridge.
Tennis
During a few high-intense summer weeks, Båstad is transformed into an entertainment metropolis of international dimensions. The classic tennis tournament Nordea Swedish Open, ATP for men and the Nordea Swedish Open, WTA for ladies is attracting some of the largest world names in sports. The event has several times been selected by players as the best competition on the ATP tour. The tennis stadium with the centercourt is a stone’s throw from Båstad Harbor.
SUP - Stand Up Padelboard
You can rent paddleboards at Kiteskolan in Båstad Harbor. Both for younger as well as older who want to exercise and try out a fun, different and health-promoting sport in fantastic environments.
Seal safari
Discover beautiful Bjärekusten from the sea. You reach one of Sweden´s largest knob seal colonies by taking the boat from Båstads Harbor. On your way out to the colonie you pass the small fishing village Kattvik and the dramatic cliffs that rise stately at Hovs Hallar before you finally reach the destination Hallandsväderö.For the Children
Crab fishing
Båstad Harbor is a mecca for fishing for seaweed crab. A couple of meters of string and something to bait is the only thing you need to fill your bucket! You can find crab fishing kits at the Port Office.
Malenbadet
Heated outdoor pools for all ages as well as an activity pool. Located just a few hundred meters from the port.
The skatepark
A favorite for skaters and bmxers in all ages. Located a few hundred meters from Båstad Harbor.
Sailing school
BBSS (Båstad Båt och Segelsällskap) holds summer courses in sailing optimist dinghy.The clubhouse is located in the middle of Båstad Harbor. We need your registration as soon as possible.
